We had a wonderful stay here. The property is located on beautiful temple grounds, which you can visit. The rooms have been completely renovated and feel modern and peaceful while still retaining its Japanese charm. Our room even had a stunning bathtub, and the beds were incredibly cozy/ comfy. I slept like a baby. We were welcomed with tea, coffee, and a sweet, which was such a thoughtful touch and very yummy. Even though the bathroom was shared, it was spotless and very well maintained. Amenities were also great. The manager was very helpful and even called ahead to help arrange dinner for us, which was great as we cant speak Japanese. She also spoke perfectly in English! I recommend the yakitori restaurant - it was fantastic. The owners so sweet:) Overall, a unique and relaxing stay ..highly recommend. We would return when in the area again! Thank you so much

The guest house is located right in the middle of the village so very convenient. The owner is lovely and very helpful. The guest house has been beautifully renovated and the rooms are really lovely and cozy with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. It is only a short drive away from Ainokura village( a UNESCO World Heritage site), Washi no Sato - a renowned rice-paper making facility and workshop and Yuraku Onsen - a hot spring for day visitors in the most incredible of locations….beautiful views anytime of the year. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Guesthouse Iwase ligt in Toyama, op 2,2 km van Toyama-kō en op 14 km van het familiepark Toyama. The host was very friendly and extremely accommodating. Had a great time staying here and checking out the beach. Room was very spacious and the place was very clean. Beds were super comfy! The host was great, would love to come back here again and see more of the area.

Guesthouse Kazura ligt in Nanto, op 31 km van Kasteel van Kanazawa, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. The owner Koji-san really knows the area. He gave good introduction of the guesthouse and the area, he suggested some places that we can visit.

The host family is so kind that you would like to stay with them more days! They can help you with all your need and the room is very comfortable! We will come back one day, and stay there more to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere! You can reach Ainokura or Shirakawago thanks to the bus and we suggest you to visit Ainokura because is a magic place!

Minshuku Goyomon bevindt zich in Nanto, op 43 km van Kasteel van Kanazawa en 43 km van Kenrokuen Garden. De ryokan met 2 sterren heeft kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde badkamer. Host was lovely and very accommodating. We arrived early and dropped off our bags to explore the village. Dinner and breakfast were great.

Daibutsu Ryokan beschikt over een tuin, en bevindt zich in Takaoka in de regio Toyama, op 48 km van Kasteel van Kanazawa en 48 km van Kenrokuen Garden. The food, although modest, was excellently prepared. The room was the best in the house, overlooking the fish pond. The staff service was exceptional, but never bothersome. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

My stay at Yanafu was truly delightful. The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.
