I used Google translate to figure out the settings with no problem. There is a 7/11 attached to the building. There are many restaurants within a short walk. There is a bus stop about a 1 minute walk.

As a solo traveler, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home including driving me to the ski rental place and making sure I was outfitted. The hostess brought me up some food when I got back from skiing which was great. They go above and beyond to look after their guests.
