Hotel River Front was a little piece of paradise for the 2 nights we stayed here (with my husband and 5 year old). The entire property is immaculately clean - from the gardens to the rooms and bathrooms - it was spotless. Room and bathroom was large, good hot water in shower, good air-conditioning, lovely balcony overlooking garden wirh river at the bottom. Pool was fabulous and great to relax around after a safari. We ate dinner at the hotel on both nights. Food was really delicious and good choice. Breakfast was included in the package and was very good (fresh pancakes, fruit, toast, eggs, sausage, etc...). On the morning of our safari they packaged a breakfast up for us which was appreciated. Hotel organised a private safari for us. Channa was our guide and was brilliant. So knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great day. We saw loads of animals including leopards and the scenery was stunning. A special thanks to all the staff who made our stay so special- they all do a fabulous job and made us so very welcome. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. Yakaduru is renowned for its architecture and tourism, where guest can stay in properties built by Mud and palm thatched roofing. Yakaduru Yala runs on renewable energy sources, and features free WiFi, on-site parking and a barbecue facility. It was unusual and unbelievable experience. Everything was perfect - staff was very kind, the diner and show were interesting! This place for people who want to try to be closer to nature.

We came here for yala safari. Very good and clean rooms. Staff is excellent. Very close to the city. You can get free bikes anytime. We also had a very delicious meal. We were given a very valuable safari. We saw many animals. We were lucky enough to see a leopard. The driver is very experienced. We can get it from their taxi at a very low and reasonable price. Everything is very reasonable.

The pool is really nice. Great value for money. The owners helped organize the full day safari. Really great tour (we saw 2 leopards) with a guide that doesn’t follow the crowds and truly explores the park. The location is not super close to centre but they have bicycles we can use (just a 20min bike ride)

He picked us up from the junction upon arrival using his tuktuk, gave us welcome drinks, arranged the Yala safari for the next morning including food and water, showed us around the lake, and finally took us to the bus station when we left! He helped organise transport to Yala and then from Yala, as well as our Safari. He got an excellent Safari driver, which is the key to a good Safari experience. The room was lovely, and dinners were brilliant too. The area has a lake nearby and the locals who live nearby are so welcoming and friendly. I wish we had stayed longer.

There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. We had an incredible stay at Yala Wild Hut. From the moment we booked, the communication was excellent—they reached out via WhatsApp with all the necessary details, making everything easy and straightforward. Upon arrival, we were picked up by jeep from the entrance, as the road to the campsite is a bit rough, but it’s only a 5-minute ride. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks, and the staff assisted us with our luggage. The food was delicious—lunch was flavorful and a bit spicy for our taste, but still very tasty. After lunch, we took a complementary walk around the campsite, which was a great way to enjoy the surroundings. We then watched a stunning sunset while enjoying some snacks prepared by the staff. The host was incredibly friendly, attentive, and polite, making us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. Dinner was also fantastic, and the following morning, we went on a safari. While we didn’t have luck spotting leopards, we saw elephants, crocodiles, birds, deer, and peacocks. The safari was a memorable experience, though the driver seemed a bit rushed at times. Before the safari, we were served coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. Afterward, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast, and the staff arranged our transportation back. The jeep took us to the entrance, and once again, the staff helped with our luggage. The hut itself was charming, well-maintained, and very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the large bathroom had everything we needed. The location truly made us feel immersed in nature while still providing all the comforts. There were also friendly and well-behaved dogs on the property, adding to the homely feel. Overall, we had an unforgettable experience at Yala Wild Hut and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, nature-filled stay with great hospitality!

Some accommodation includes a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchenette and a shared bathroom with bidet. Best homestay I’ve stayed in during my 3 months of SE Asia travel. Location was ideal, activities were unbelievable, and the most hospitable hosts imaginable. I will be telling all of my fellow travelers to stay here for a long time to come. Make sure to book their safari. We were lucky enough to have a leopard walk 10ft in front of us and watch a baby elephant and its mom. Although, it still would have been beautiful without seeing any animals. The host mother made us the best curry spread we will probably ever eat for as long as we live.
