It was super clean, luxurious and peaceful. Breakfasts were delicious! Beds super comfortable. The pool and rooftop had nice views. We also loved the ponies on the property, they were very friendly! Lidl is a quick drive away.

Amazing accomodation. Close to everything, right in the center. Bus station available as well as Lighthouse supermarket. The room was amazing, very comfortable and a beautiful smell inside. Loved the overall calm vibe, heartfelt hospitality of the host Massimo, the view from my room and most certainly breakfasts on the terrace.

At the homestay, each unit has bed linen and towels. The house is very lovely, the hosts are super friendly and nice. Homemade Breakfast was great as well. We enjoyed a lot staying in Casa Maria Pia!

The balcony view onto the harbour! The comfy bed, excellent breakfasts, great staff. Proximity to many restos and fantastic swimming and hiking. Very quiet at night, everything shuts down around 11:30.

The whole B&B was exceptional, very clean and very nicely decorated. The breakfast was fresh and homemade and exquisite. The staff was immensely helpful and kind. The room was very comfortable and clean with all facilities available.

James is a superb host. His communication prior to arrival, his friendly, welcoming greeting upon arrival and his attentive thoughtfulness during our stay were all outstanding. The boutique nature of Sunrise Lodge (only ten rooms in total) provided a more personal experience for us and this, we believe, is the best place to stay in all of Malta - not just on Gozo - but the entire country. Sure, there are places that cost USD$1000+ per night that would also be great, but Sunrise Lodge represents unsurpassed value for money. It is only a ten minute walk, all downhill, to the ferry terminal that connects Gozo to the island of Malta. Ferry trips are also fairly short and inexpensive. We would choose to stay on Gozo for the duration of our stay next time, using this delightful island as our base. We must also give a big shout out to Joe, Sunrise Lodge's Welsh chef. Joe is a character, and he and James are a great team. They make a great breakfast! For first-time visitors to Malta, seriously consider Sunrise Lodge as your place to stay. You will, like us, be delighted with your decision.
