The whole environment was wonderful. The owner was kind and give us advices about restaurants, place to visit and so on. Highly recommended place!

The homestay has an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. I liked how warm they both were. I felt welcomed and was part of her life for a few days. It was a great stay and I would love to come back ♡

We got to feed the sheep and alpacas and especially enjoyed the pigs.

With city views, this accommodation provides a patio. Whangarei Art Museum is 2.5 km away and Claphams Clock Museum is 3.1 km from the homestay. The room is comfortable and kept it warm (we stayed in May). Cindy and Schalk are amazing! For us who are super shy, they explained us everything and made us feel welcome. The toilet is not in the room, but is just for you so it was perfect. You can use the kitchen if you like and there is a lot of space for parking. Last but not least, the view from the room is amazing!

It was very comfortable, quiet and clean. It is about a 10 minute drive into Paihia but there is an excellent brewery/ restaurant which serves good bar food, about 10 minutes walk away.

Situated just 20 km from Opua Forest, FOREST WATERS features accommodation in Haruru with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a terrace, tennis at the tennis court, free private parking and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast has an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. Overall, the accomodation was fabulous! The grounds were really peaceful and it was only a 10 minute drive to town. So much nicer than staying in town with a lot of noise and people around. The hosts were kind, warm and generous but also gave us our own space and privacy. I'd never stayed in a B&B style accomodation before so this was a new experience and I'd do it again. If I have the opportunity to come back to the Northlands of NZ I'd definitely stay again.
