It has an excellent location, a lovely view, great patio, and the place had everything you could think you needed or didn't even know you needed while traveling abroad. I stayed at several places on my trip to New Zealand and Jake's place was the most detailed with such lovely hosts. I wanted to stay longer. And I fell in love with Waiheke Island. Easy to walk to the beach, town, wineries, tramping tracks, and close to bus stop. I traveled solo and felt so incredibly safe.

Woodside Bay Chalets features sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ostend, 5.5 km from Wild on Waiheke. The accommodation has a sauna. This 4-star holiday home offers private entrance. It was rural paradise, the chalets are well spaced for privacy, they are simple and well appointed with a feel of simple luxury. The view from the bed room and living room is really special! I was a bit ditzy about some of the information and the owners were super responsive and patient. It’s so unspoilt. There is a lovely beech in walking distance which was empty most of my stay. I could walk for about an hour without seeing anyone but locals, who were super friendly. The views are unbelievable! The range of bird life and wildlife is delightful, from bunnies, pheasants to green and red parrots flying in a pair. Their list of recommendations are spot on, from great places to eat to the best beaches to visit. A peaceful haven! There was a sauna but I just chilled and soaked up the views!

Really helpful suggestions on where to go to see and eat and walks etc. Very comfortable room with everything you need for breakfast but no kitchen per se. Nice touch to have milk and a bottle of fizz in the fridge.

It was a GORGEOUS property. We loved the inclusion of beach towel/blanket which we used for a picnic. All the little details from the host exceeded expectations and made the stay lovely! The location was excellent, especially for an early morning ferry return.
