The tent is more like a resort and has AC and a pool :) the view to the elephants is something extraordinary and I know this only from Africa safaris. The food is also absolutely delicious and you get everything you need. Don’t hesitate to come here if you want to have a very special experience!

Exceptional resort overall, one of the best we have stayed in. The staff offered fantastic service, catered for our needs. Mesmerising architecture and pools, with amazing views to the ocean and sunrise.

The property has mountain and city views, and is 43 km from Cha-am Forest Park. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The quadruple room was perfect for our family. Everything is immaculate and well thought out. Each bed even had it's own reading light and plugs for charging. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely, served on the roof with views of the mountains and we enjoyed watching all the monkeys. It was a quiet, convenient and pleasant stay. We also enjoyed a lunch at their small cafe which was tasty.

Parking on-site is available and the guest house also provides bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. The plase is great in general, there is a common area to eat and chill. The guesthouse is about 20 minutes away (walking) from both train and minivan station. It is very near to Wat Mohathat Worawihan (less than 5 min) and 20 min to Khao Wang. There are street foods around, guesthouse provides simple breakfast. Bicycle and motorcycle are available for rent. Despite being quite closed to the road, the place is considered quiet and peaceful. Room is spacious (I am staying in a single room) and it is a wooden house, which you may need to avoid making loud noise especially during the night. I could sleep well and the other visitors who are staying there are quiet enough for me to have a peaceful night of sleep. Shared bathrooms and toilets are clean, however, there is no flush toilet. There are bucket of water in the toilet for after use. The lady who welcome me at the guesthouse named Pin, she can speaks basic English and is very helpful.

With free WiFi, this 3-star resort has a terrace and a restaurant. Guests can have a drink at the bar. Best experience in thailand this is a must!

Set in Kaeng Krachan, Baan Maka Nature Lodge offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Offering a garden, the property is located within 5 km of Kaeng Krachan National Park. The property is 9 km from Kaeng Krachan dam lake. We contacted the lodge and they arranged our transportation from our condo in Hua Hin to the lodge. The lodge is beautiful, clean and peaceful with lots of beautiful birds and butterflies.   The lodge arranged Piak, our very knowledgeable guide and the perfect truck as transport to the fabulous National Park.   At the lodge, we enjoyed the challenging trek up to the Viewpoint on their trail.  The lodge also arranged our transport to Bangkok.  So everything was perfectly arranged and convenient for us. We had two nights at the lodge, perfect for us, who are not birders.

With free bikes, the 2-star bed and breakfast has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. It is like a home away from home. The two sisters took very good care of me and all the other guests. They cooked vegan breakfasts for me, provided bicycles, a map, and lots of advice about shopping and how to get around. Not surprisingly, several of those in the hotel were returning guests. I too hope to make it there again!
