The location is not central, but close to the Yuguang island beach and the green tunnel where you can do a boat ride along the mangrove forest.

When I arrived they gave me a plate of fruit and tofu pudding with enjoy, and if you spent time in the common area in the morning or evening, the owner would just bring you more fruit which is amazing when traveling. They helped me with anything I needed- a bigger pair of slippers, printing a visa, doing laundry/ translation; really anything you need they will help you. It’s very clean and quiet (as the name) and I got great sleep and my roommates were especially respectful. It’s not super social but it’s still just a nice calm atmosphere to relax and it’s not too hard to talk to someone if you’d like. I stayed in January so it’s off season- I imagine in high travel season in the summer there’s activities and way more backpackers in addition to local Taiwanese which would be even better/ more social! Amazing stay.

I really loved the vibe at this hotel - from the amazing scent when you walk in, to the album covers behind the front desk and the cool cafe in the reception. When I got to my room, i was blown away. Very spacious, great view over the Art museum, a huge bed, Japanese toilets, fabulous shower, and Aesop amenities! In fact, it was hard to leave! the breakfast was great - i like the way they do it by ordering alacarte rather than a buffet as it feels like there is less food waste and the food is fresher and more hygienic. I wish I had selected the room with the record players but then I might not have gone out to enjoy Tainan's nightlife and stayed in enjoying my room all night!
