Viva Guest House is a recently renovated guest house in San José where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. The staff were wonderful and really accommodating of my confused exhaustion after my flight and how early I had leave in the morning. It was really really clean as well.

It's a big house with 5 different comfortable rooms. The owner doesn't live there, so this house is for the travellers. There is a large dining room, a lounge, a kitchen with all you need. A small garden with a sofa. Breakfast correct included. The entire house is very clean. A lot of light. All rooms with windows. The beds are very comfortable . Wifi works well everywhere. Usually it's Una who welcomes you. She is very friendly and speaks English, Chinese and Spanish fluently . She answers quickly on WhatsApp. It's really a very pleasant house. We can see the influence of women style. To go by taxi to San Jose, use DiDi or Uber but DiDi is always cheaper. There are 2 big commercial centers close to the guesthouse 4 mn on foot. Plaza Rohrmoser and Plaza major. I preferred Rohrmoser smaller and cheaper. Also you find Claro and bank of CostaRica. Take care, the change at the airport is horrible and the ATM Bac takes a big commission.
