Hotel in Redhill ( 1.6 miles)
The Holiday Inn Bristol Airport, is over a 2 mile drive from Bristol Airport and 12 miles from Bristol City Center. Perfect for airport Lovely staff Really clean Excellent will use again
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with difficulty walking as it really is a long drag from the main road, plus you have to park across the road and the road is extremely busy with high speed traffic. It is in a lovely setting just needs some TLC Henry the owner was very pleasant
The room was very clean and quite comfortable, but the pillows were lumpy and hard. there was no bedside light for reading. the pub was extremely noisy and children were running around all evening. The staff were quite friendly and did try to make us welcome. We ordered food and because of a confusion with tables we had to wait an hour for our food and one plate of food was cold. They did, however apologise and replace the food. The quality of the food was however good. The staff did not charge us for our drinks because of the confusion. We found the noise from the upstairs rooms very loud and we had difficulty sleeping. The pub is well placed for Bristol airport.
I had a very early flight in the morning. The extra cost was avoidable had I booked at the airport hotel. The transport arrangements, made by the owner, at extra cost, would have been avoided and longer in bed for me. The accommodation was comfortable - wish I had stayed there longer and experienced the comfortable bed for longer.
I chose it because of it being near to the airport. Room cramped and lacking in some facilities. Television not in best place for easy viewing when in bed, or sitting in a chair - there wasn't a chair to sit in. Expensive fir what was offered.
It was a quiet location (with the windows closed you couldn't hear the aircraft landing at the airport). We walked to the pub: The Prince of Waterloo (also very good) in ten minutes via a good, clear path. The B&B only has one guest room so it's as well there was just sufficient parking outside (anyone bringing two cars might have a problem). Pictures below taken at Tyntesfield House (a National Trust property close by).
Not being a driver public transport was good for getting to different locations good for solo travellers major city a bos ride away would visit again river cruise was very good and hop on hop off bus is a great way to explore the city of Bristol
