Airport shuttle. Extremely quiet.
I was having fever that day, the owner took care of me and my daughter as if we were her own family. Such warmth to strangers I didn’t think exist anymore.
Appartment was neat and clean. No mould in the bathroom, after London this was a pleasant surprise.

This is the second time we have stayed here. Both times have been extremely pleasant. The location is very convenient, being only a short bus ride away from the airport. On both of our stays, the view from our room has overlooked greenery therefore, it doesn't feel as though you are right next to an airport. It also seems as though the hotel is quite well soundproofed against the noise, too. Having breakfast included is a really nice addition, especially since there is a good selection and you can even take it to go if you're in a hurry! 😊

This was a very last minute booking as I had a four and a half delay on my flight which meant I was basically stranded on my own at Stansted. I booked this as I was going through passport control. I called the property immediately and they picked me up from the airport late at night and took me back to the airport very early the next morning (£14 return). I was extremely grateful for their kindness in a situation where I was very stressed and tired. They also offered to make me a sandwich! The room was beautiful with attention to detail.

Cheap basic accommodation for 5 min drive to airport. Advertised hotel opposite-this doesn’t serve food. Better hotel was Lamb and Lion two blocks away-lovely.

I had a wonderful experience at Stansted Lodge Elsenham. Communication with the owner was swift and very helpful. I arrived late at night, and due to a road closure, I struggled to find my way. The owner quickly sent directions, making the process much smoother. The room was spotless, warm, and quiet, perfect after a long journey. Free parking was provided in a spacious, well-lit area secured by CCTV, adding extra convenience. The next morning, the owner went the extra mile to help with transport, which I truly appreciated. The location is peaceful yet close to the airport. I will definitely be staying again and highly recommend it for a stress-free, comfortable stay with excellent service!

Only stayed one night and due to being exhausted from travelling just rested in room until flight next morning, so didn't use any of the facilities. But very happy with my experience and welcoming staff especially Zach on reception, very helpful and great personality.

We got a final email the day before confirming our stay with instructions but what they failed to mention is that there was no heat or hot water in our cottage When we called for assistance we got no help no apologies and had 2 cold days and nights To add to that no taxi or Uber would pick us up for a day out since the inn was so remote We asked if someone would take us to a nearby castle and the answer was no So we were stranded in a cold cottage with no hot water no heat unable to leave and NO apologies 😡

I love staying here.
I love staying here. It is handy for Stanstead Mountfitchett. Its tucked neatly off the main road and so is quiet. The guest accommodation is private with its own front door. The bed is comfy. The house is a thatched gem with flint garden walls. Wifi easy.

I liked the view and the tranquillity between the loud aeroplanes taking off from Stansted Airport. I liked the fact that our dogs could stay with us. There was space for the dogs to play and walk. We were out of the lodge most of the day. The lodge was spotless as brand new. We ate out as no restaurant, but was also able to cook in the lodge.

Takeley has nothing going for it at all apart from its closeness to the airport. A number of industrial units but no place to get a breakfast. The roads in and around are lined with cars that have been parked there by people who have gone on holiday but don't want to use the exorbitant and overcrowded parking at the airport.

The gardens and property were fine the guests I shared the cottage with didn't know me and Keith me awake I had to leave at 1.00 am and drive and hour and half home I came to stay to get some relaxation which didn't happen I'm very upset it ruined my weekend I have a painful condition fibromyalgia and it made me worse.
