Exceptional stay right from the beginning! Liam greeted us upon arrival, we were promptly checked-in and offered a lovely arrival taste of Irish whiskey. Our room was ready and our bags were swiftly taken to the room without even having to request it. The room was lovely, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The spa was a delight, as were the pool and jacuzzi offering. Bloom was a great spot for an evening cocktail before heading into town or dinner. Bikes were available free of charge and we enjoyed ourselves immensely exploring Cork on them! Highly recommend stay at Hayfield, we will absolutely be back!

This is a regular castle with a real family living in and renting rooms. In a castle. I somehow missed this fact when booking the place. I thought it was a hotel called castle or a castle converted into a hotel but here we are, staying in a regular castle with a peacock in the garden and a pony walking around and welcoming guests. Plus a regular knight's armor in the corridor. The host is extremely kind and friendly, very helpful and providing interesting information about the history of the place and attractions in the area. The price was very reasonable for a magical stay like this. It would be lovely to stay longer.

Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable, lovely atmosphere and ambience. The staff were very friendly and courteous. I have to mention the lady on the night shift at front desk……..we were heading for hospital appointment on Friday morning, Nov 21st at 6.45am. It was very frosty. That lady came out to our car and defrosted all windows and windscreens. Very impressed with this capable, kind, compassionate lady who is not afraid of hard work on a freezing cold morning. Please let her know how grateful we were.

The staff here are amazing, I couldn’t have found a more helpful place. My mum basically got stuck in Ireland and I had to find somewhere on booking but when I wanted to extend the days the staff helped me out and made the process super easy and they kept an eye on my mum keeping me updated when she was safe and how she found everything. I’m so glad that I found this place and I would advise anyone to stay here. The local area is within walking distance and the local pubs and places to eat are lovely. Highly recommend for anyone just visit Ireland. Thank you so much for everything
