I had the pleasure of staying at Árnanes Country Hotel, a family-owned gem that immediately felt like home. What made my visit truly special was the warm hospitality of the owners. They generously shared insights into fascinating, off-the-beaten-path destinations that I would have never discovered otherwise. These unique recommendations added so much depth to my exploration of the surrounding area. The relaxed vibe extended to the morning routine as well. I appreciated the flexibility around breakfast times—there was no rush, and I could enjoy my morning meal even if arriving at the end of the schedule, savoring it without feeling hurried. This laid-back approach contributed significantly to the overall feeling of comfort and ease during my stay. My accommodation was a charming little house entirely constructed from wood, with thoughtful and attractive decorations that created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The eating area followed suit, adorned with vintage decorations and decorative natural flowers, making every meal feel special. Having a parking spot right next to my house added an extra layer of convenience, simplifying my daily excursions. While the accommodation didn’t offer dinner during my stay due to the low season, this turned out to be a hidden blessing. It led me to explore the nearby city of Hofn, where I discovered some fantastic restaurants for my evening meals. In summary, my stay at Árnanes Country Hotel was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the incredible warmth of the owners, the beauty of the surroundings, and the comfort of my accommodation. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience.

Bedsheets were very clean and comfortable. utensils and Oven are so clean and working so good.

Set just 1 km from Hornafjördur Airport. Free WiFi access. The Route 1 Ring Road is right next to the guest house. A seating area and work desk feature in all guest rooms at Seljavellir Guesthouse. Cozy, clean and nice room in a separate lodge

Λατρεψαμε το σκυλάκι της φαρμας, τον Pluto. Πολύ όμορφο κλίμα και λόγω της κοινόχρηστης κουζίνας. Πολύ άνετο και ζεστό δωμάτιο. Λατρεψαμε το θερμαινομενο πάτωμα.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. Very close to the main road and around 50 mins from Diamond Beach. The room had a kettle and cups, and the breakfast had a big assortment.

With its scenic views of Hornafjördur Lagoon and Vatnajökull Glacier, this guest house offers rooms with bright, country-style décor. WiFi and parking are free. Höfn town centre is only 2 km away. Very nice and clean guesthouse! With beautiful surroundings and very well placed.
