A wonderful place to stay if you want a calm stay with a countryside charm and have horses run by your window in the morning. We loved it here and wished we could stay longer.

I loved that it was an outhouse conversion. Every inch of design and craftsmanship could be seen inside. Absolutely fantastic technology knowledge, from wireless extenders to the set top box and sound bar were very welcome and appreciated. Extremely clean and well stocked with everything needed.

The property owner is great at communication and responds quickly. We had a great experience despite the ongoing renovation and construction.

Hótel Tindastóll is situated in Sauðárkrókur and has a garden and a bar. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. This was our favourite accommodation of ten in total on our Iceland adventure! It was utterly charming in every way! Our room was in the attic, the building beside the main, and completely comfy and quiet. We learned that this hotel is where people stayed while they waited for their ship to take them to Canada and America to their new life - very moving. Breakfast was delicious with the standard cold offerings like breads, cheese, ham, eggs, jams, cream cheeses, pastries, etc - but it was dinner that really impressed! They have a tiny seasonal menu - like one fish dish, one vegetarian, and one lamb - but the lamb was the most tender and delicious I have ever tasted! I will recommend this place to everyone! (And also recommend the Emmigration Centre at nearby Hofsos to any people of Icelandic descent who are tracing their roots!)
