Located in Mulu, Mulu Homestay provides accommodation with seating area. The property features mountain and river views. The homestay has family rooms. At the homestay, all units come with a desk. The location of this homestay is the best part about it. It's a 2 minute walk from the park entrance while still giving you the feel of being outside of the park. They kept power on the whole time so we could still charge things throughout the day and keep the fans on all night. At nights the rooms cooled down and were comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but we were the only people here so it felt private.

The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. Best feature was staying in the park and being just a few minutes walk from HQ and the cafe. We had some power issues on the second night and third day but it was dealt with expeditiously. We didn't use it but there is laundry service available.

This review is based on the situations in a remote place like Mulu. The stay was good. It's about 1-1.5 km from Mulu national park and airport, so it's in walkable location. The host Helena and Shania was supportive. The room had 3 single beds. Initially I thought it would be a dormitory type of stay. But they have multiple rooms. It is a budget homestay. They prepare dinner and lunch is you ask for. Prices are at par with Mulu park restaurant.

Offering river views, Mulu Diana Homestay in Mulu features accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. Diana is a wonderful host. The food was delicious. Rooms are spacious. Fan ceiling. Beds were comfortable. A 25 minute walk to the Mulu National Park or if a 5 minute ride. They are expanding so expect some construction during the day. Also this is not a luxury stay, but a modest homestay.
