Very good breakfast, which we were also allowed to eat on the spacious porch. One of the only hotels I've stayed in that actually has a garden that the guests may use for sun bathing, frisbee golf or just whatever.

Hotel 1861 is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. Fantastic place to stay, the staff were happy to show us around and tell us about the old Jail. Highly recommend

Situated in the heart of Umeå, Elite Hotel Mimer faces the Twin Towns Park and the main commercial pedestrian street. Guests have free WiFi along with free access to a sauna and fitness centre. Wow, I was just passing Umea and needed a stay for one night. At the Mimer I found a perfect place to stay, actually I already plan to go back. Very friendly staff, clean room with comfy bed, exceptional breakfast buffet. I felt welcomed and was sad to leave after just one night.
