Boasting a fitness centre and views of garden, SK Hometel Samui Airport is a recently renovated country house situated in Bangrak Beach, 2.4 km from Bang Rak Beach. This is a fantastic little gem, especially for stop overs or if you have an early or late flight. The staff are super friendly and helpful. There’s a wonderful little restaurant/cafe out front if you don’t want to walk anywhere for a feed. Rooms are not large but are comfortable and have everything you need. Fridge, aircon, fan, an area to sit both inside and outside. Highly recommend.

Nice beach, but not exceptional. There are a few locals offering local handmade products, clothes and food. They're very kind, occasionally you can make good deals. Various water sports activities are available, as well as special dinner programs (e.g. with fireworks) at certain hotels.

This area isn’t as nice as other places on sumui we preferred the Lamai area and the beach on Chaweng , we found the fisherman’s night market to be one of the better thinks in this area but fisherman’s village over hyped, overpriced and not a genuine Thai experience very pretentious,Nathon a more genuine Thai town and far more character

Bangrak Beach is certainly not the nicest area on Koh Samui...
Bangrak Beach is certainly not the nicest area on Koh Samui but it's conveniently close to the airport and the Bangrak Beach Pier to take the ferry over to Koh Phangang. Therefore a good place to spend a night if your flight arrives/departs too late/early for the ferry to Koh Phangang.

Our stay was truly beyond expectations. The villa is incredibly spacious, offering high-class service at every moment. The white-sand beach nearby is wonderfully private, making the whole experience feel peaceful, exclusive, and unforgettable.

It is beautiful, wonderful, crystal clear, turquoise water. Do NOT let the reviews that say that this beach is "busy, loud, too crowded" deter you from coming. We were here in January-February during peak season and it was perfect! Never too crowded and never too empty. Perfect in my experience, I would come back. I did not prefer nor enjoy Lamai beach (supposed to be better, but I disagree).

Stayed on the beach and didn't venture in to the town of Chaweng, or the high street, didn't need to. A mix of resorts and hotels on the beach, from 5* to 3*, all offering great locations, food and friendly service. Some were child friendly, and very shallow waters safe for kids or non swimmers. Some hotels were adults only. It's been 10 years since I last visited and it's better than I remembered.
