However , during our stay , we had a horrible experience on 24/12/23 early morning around 4:20am , which the emergency alarm in the room was triggered twice ; after we call the receptionist , was told that “may be someone “ accidentally touch the emergency alarm that it was triggered for the whole hotel rooms. That doesn’t make sense if only one of the room guess has some emergency case , how can the emergency alarm triggered in every rooms ? Anyway. After that I can’t sleep back again.

Inflation has hit Taiwan hard;
Inflation has hit Taiwan hard; things are getting more expensive, and quality remains the same. The shops are getting repetitive, but the things they sell can have a price difference of 30% or more, so check around different shops before buying something expensive. Taipei have become very crowded too, enjoyable tourist attractions are now swamped with people, mainly due to Taiwan not opening up new tourist attractions in the past decades. Taiwan is a nice place to visit but not a place to visit frequently because it does not change much or have new attractions so it might be boring for multiple visits. Do visit other city instead of Taipei, as it became really boring now.

Public transport is so well-developed and affordable that you can almost go to anywhere within the city. Also, less than 1 hour trip takes you to beautiful nature. Food, culture, people --- Taiwan is the top most favorite destination!

The curiosity of the range of food preps and cuisine. Difficulty communicating with most taxi drivers but was thankful to the hotel staff for having the location written in Tai language making it easier. In addition, unfortunately I was not able to do site seeing as my time schedule was tight for attendance for the medical conference.

It is a very good place for the overseas Chinese, it's like your second hometown. We share the same culture and language, I can make a phone call and talk to people freely, not like in Japan. The food satisfied us. The people in this land are warmhearted. I love Taipei

Taipei has a unique charm, simply wonderful.
Taipei has a unique charm, simply wonderful. The people are very friendly and communicative. Many Japanese, Korean, and Chinese influences blend together. There are culinary night markets, narrow streets lined with traditional cafes, shops, restaurants, and massage parlors. Prices are fair, and the city boasts a modern, top-notch MRT network.

The Raohe and Shilin Night markets were amazing, as was the food court in Taipei 101!!! The walking tour guides were very informative and fun. The day long trip to Yehliu, Shifen and Juifen was fantastic! Excellent guide and comfortable coach, beautiful itinerary. The MRT is very accessible and easy to navigate. Visited many beautiful temples and museums. The museum of Indigenous tribes (very close to the National Palace museum) was enlightening! Don't miss the changing of the guard at the CKS memorial. The airport shuttle service for a fixed fee (actually a private taxi, which took us to the correct hotel) is definitely worth it (the Uber app did not work at the airport, but did work at the hotel to get elsewhere).
