To escape the LA fires, we took a roadtrip up the California coast. SLO was our first stop. As a group of people who have very specific dietary needs, we needed a kitchen to make our own food. Let me tell you, this place was perfect. Not only was it extremely clean and comfortable, but it also had everything we needed. The main bed gave me some of the best nights of sleep I’ve ever had, and the main couch was just as comfortable. What I really enjoyed and made this trip feel not only like an escape, but a true vacation, was that a maid came to clean the area after our checkout, so we did not have to worry too much. Of course, we cleaned up after ourselves, but it was nice knowing that the owners did not expect us to be maids and stress about the cleanliness of the place when leaving to continue our trip. It really made a difference and is another big reason why I would stay here again. Overall, I didn’t want to leave. Out of our entire trip, this was our favorite stay by far. Will definitely return in the near future.

I liked this unit having both bedrooms on the ground floor, the living room was cozy with a big enough TV, there was hot water for days, everything worked as it should, the bed was comfortable, and the host is friendly. There is a shared, paid for laundry on-site but this unit, #3, had a washer and dryer inside so that was amazing.

Perfectly situated about 2 min drive to downtown SLO. The beds were comfortable and there is a ton of room in this not so tiny home. Appreciated the extras like a dishwasher, washer/dryer in unit and 4 person table. We were able to prepare simple meals and spend quality time as a family. This is our new favorite of Tessa’s mini-homes. We will be back!
