Located in the Higashiyama area and directly next to Chion-in Temple grounds, Chion-in Wajun Kaikan offers Japanese and Western-style accommodations. Very clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpful and kind. Beds comfortable, elegant feel, great amenities. Coffee shop on lobby level has espresso and plant based milks. There is a beautiful communal bath (not mixed). It’s in the mountains, lots of nature, but only a few feet away from the amazing shopping streets like NininZaka. And only 2 blocks to the bus and public transport. Nice clean bathroom, shower and bathtub in the rooms, beautiful decor.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kyoto Terrace Hachijo PREMIER is conveniently situated in the centre of Kyoto, and provides a fitness centre, free WiFi and a restaurant. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and breakfast was delicious

Kyoto Almont Hotel offers modern accommodations with free wired internet. Hachijo East Exit of JR Kyoto Train Station is only a 5-minute walk away. We liked everything. Very nice staff, clean and cozy rooms, delicious breakfast, good location!

Receiving 3 black pavilions for five consecutive years on the 2014 to 2018 Michelin Guides, Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto is a 3-minute walk from Exit 5 of Shijo Subway Station. Everything was perfect. Amazing breakfast buffet (you can choose between western or Japanese breakfast), spacious room, great staff. Close to metro and bus stop.
