APA Hotel Kyoto-eki Horikawa-Dori is conveniently located about a 7-minute walk of JR Kyoto Station and easy access to the Shinkansen bullet train and buses to Kansai Airport. It’s super close to the Kyoto Station, but the exit nearest to the hotel doesn’t have an elevator (the only lift we found was inside the shop/drugstore nextdoor, but it closes at a certain time, so plan ahead if you hace big luggage). The bed was comfortable. The staff was really nice. They let us store our stuff before the checkin. The room is indeed small, but we managed.

We loved this hotel! It has an excellent location in Gion, making it possible to walk to many places or take the subway, which is right next door. We stayed in the King-Size Bed Room, which is huge and very spacious! There is no daily cleaning, but they leave clean towels at your door every day. All bathroom amenities are provided. The bathtub was essential for relaxing at the end of the day. The staff is very attentive and helpful—I would stay at this hotel again!

アパホテル 京都駅前中央口 is located a 3-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station and a 1-minute walk from Kyoto Subway Station. Kintetsu Kyoto Station is a 10-minute walk away. Location Location Location…ideal place to begin my Kyoto adventures. And the staff were extremely friendly and helpful…they went out of their way to help me (directions). Thanks!!!
