The location is perfect, in front of big Garden in Funchal and is basically in the heart of the city. The house has an amazing, cozy vibe and has everything you need to have a great stay. Loved the high ceiling and the well lit rooms with windows everywhere. Definitely will stay here again if end up in Madeira. Highly recommended

The place is up in the mountains so very beautiful. I really liked the interior, the fireplace and the bed was comfortable. The lady who welcomed us was super helpful and gave some recommendations what to see and where to go.

Great breakfasts. Friendly and efficient staff -- for example, the waiters and waitresses remembered that I liked egg white omelets with cheese and they made a special effort to fix them for me. The roof-side pool had an "Honest Bar" where we could serve ourselves reasonably priced beer and ice cream and record it in their book; that is, they trusted us to do an accurate accounting. The rooms were clean; we had fresh towels and sheets every day. The location was close to bus lines so we were able to see many of the sites in Funchal without having to rent a car. Roomy rooms with a safe and refrigerator and mini-kitchen and hair dryer and a balcony for drying swimsuits!

The hotel was excellent had lots of facilities being part of the PortoBay resort. Staff were super friendly and very efficient, everything was clean and well maintained. The location was also great in the Lido area, would highly recommend.
