Speaking of location, La Maison de Nikolas is perfectly situated. Just a short drive from the historic cities of Ghent and Bruges, we found it easy to immerse ourselves in Belgian culture and cuisine before retreating to our peaceful haven. The electric bikes enabled us to explore the green neighbourhood as well. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction did not go unnoticed. In summary, La Maison de Nikolas offered a delightful contrast to city life—a place where one can unwind, recharge, and appreciate the simple pleasures of the countryside. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a serene getaway with easy access to Belgium's cultural gems.

Very nice, clean and neat appartment in an extremely convenient location if you have your own car. Kitchen is fully equipped, living room is cosy with a big TV, neighbourhood is very peaceful.

Really everything with this apartment was perfect. It has a good location, 20min from Gent and about 1h from Lille, Brigges or Bruxelles by car. There is even a bus stop 30min to Gent right in front of the building. Grocery stores are 10min always by car and a nice bakery is just over the street. The apartment is really spacious with a well equipped kitchen, two large bedrooms and the Livingstone room and the balcony are also huge. We as a family live to stay here and used the laundry room in the garage. Finally we never had a problem to find a parking slot atvthe Private park site. Charging electric cars is also possible without any problems.

The apartment is unique – well appointed, very comfortable, and conveniently located close to Ghent’s main attractions. The historic building combined with the stunning interior design made the stay truly memorable. Communication with the host was prompt and very friendly. The added convenience of a Carrefour just a few meters from the entrance was a real bonus. This has been my best stay in Ghent so far.

Nele is a fantastic host and she kindly showed us around the apartment and how to use the gate and door codes. This apartment is super convenient, here is a Spar and Carrefour just outside the apartment, there is a tram ticket machine and stops just outside as well. The location is slap bang in the middle the road which goes from historic centre of town to the train station and was super convenient for getting around and getting to the airport as well. Ghent is lovely, nice cafes, shops and loads there for history buffs as well plus we went to Bruges one day as well, half an hour by train. The apartment was cosy and clean and top notch.
