The place was good, there were fans, mosquito nets, bathroom with shower. You are able to cook, there is a gas stove, fridge available - with small but functional freezer. The hosts were absolutely amazing, they are an older couple. When we saw a scorpion, they took it away, which was incredible. They were very kind, bought us breakfast the first morning, coconut... They took us with tuktuk to the bus station. They have a cat that doesn't like being petted, but also a 2 year old dalmatian, very energetic and loving dog. Overall it was an incredible stay, I can only recommend.

Really wish we would have found this place sooner so we could have stayed longer. It has a very nice ambiance and friendly staff. Room is very nice and we loved the "outdoor" shower. Breakfast was excellent, yet modest. Location to the beach is very close, but just far away enough to not hear the music that sometimes is there.

I stayed here for two nights and had a truly pleasant and peaceful experience 😊. The property is clean 🧼, and the room was spacious and comfortable 🛏️. I was especially impressed by the beautifully designed bathroom 🚿✨. The location is also very convenient—just a short walk from Matara Railway Station 🚉. What truly made the stay exceptional was the hospitality of the hosts 🤗. The aunty and uncle who live next door are incredibly kind and always ready to help with a warm smile 🧓👵❤️. The location was absolutely amazing — just a short walk from Dickwella Beach! Our host was incredibly helpful and kind, even arranging a scooter rental for us within minutes. The rooms and common areas were super clean and spacious, making the whole stay really comfortable. We honestly wished we had stayed here longer!

In our family, there are 2 adults and 3 very picky children (4yo and teens). Chamara organized a punctual transfer from Mattala Airport, the journey took a little over an hour. We were greeted by a very friendly, intelligent and very kind family. The wife cooks very, very delicious food. I ate very tasty hoppers, Kiri bath, pol sambola, dhal curry, string hoppers, roti, sweets etc. Lots of gifts. Chamara offered lots of help, such as bringing water and exotic fruits. We used two beautiful clean rooms, a balcony, and a large spacious kitchen. The rooms have good air conditioners and fans. In the large room, there is a kettle, tea, coffee and dishes. The owner brought a new refrigerator. The kitchen has everything necessary to cook and eat. There is even a washing machine. We had everything we need. The supermarkets are 700-900 meters away. Chamara's advices were very helpful - where to go, where to eat, what to see. Within walking distance, there are 3 great beaches: Turtle Point Bathigama Dickwella (we saw turtles, a beautiful rocks, and the most beautiful sunset) and Hiriketiya beach. The most favorite, the less crowded nearby beach is Dickwella Beach (7 minutes walk with kids), where we swam for hours, tried surfing, drank fresh juices, and the children ate wood-fired pizza. I liked everything very much.

Amazing very kindly people that run this place, greeted with fruits & drinks + genuine conversation. Was also just given dinner (Rice + chicken) for nothing, very tasty & felt nice to not get ripped off in these places. For what I paid, a double bed room + AC & balcony view is definitely worth it. Location very close to train station also which helped me out. The man also owns a tuktuk:)

Wonderful Stay at SithRu Villa – Highly Recommended! We originally planned to stay just 2 nights at SithRu Villa in Matara, but we ended up extending my stay to 4 nights because the experience was so great! A special thank you to Mr. Mangala, the manager, who made my stay truly enjoyable. He was incredibly helpful and kind – he arranged a van with a very nice and reliable driver so I could explore Matara and the surrounding areas comfortably. It made a big difference in my trip. Mangala also helped me order delicious breakfasts and dinners, which I really appreciated. The food was tasty and freshly prepared, and the service was always warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing – a perfect escape from the busy city life as I live in sjngapore with my family . If you’re visiting Matara, I highly recommend staying at SithRu Villa. The hospitality and service, especially from Mr. Mangala, made this one of the best parts of my trip. I’ll definitely return again!
