I rented the entire villa, a charming place surrounded by nature, a true oasis of peace where serenity filled the air. It was the perfect break before continuing my journey to Ella. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and every detail was meticulously taken care of, offering an ideal balance between unspoiled nature and proximity to the town center. The stay was rejuvenating and flawless in every aspect. The owner, always kind and helpful, provided invaluable advice, from organizing excursions to the waterfalls and the temple to arranging taxis for other destinations.

Great hosts! They pick-up us from the train station, when we arrived. The place was really beautiful, surrounded by incredible nature. We could see the view of the mountains on our own terrace. We saw wonderful birds and squirrels from our terrace and some big jackfruit and avocado trees. We had a varied breakfast with plenty of delicious local vegetables and fruits, which is certainly enough. The bed in the room was big and comfortable. The kindness of the hosts was amazing! They took me to the doctor and pharmacy, when I needed it. They also prepared an incredibly tasty and generous dinner for us, when we asked for it. We had a great time here and we can recommend this place! Thank you very much

It was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t need to go to little Adam’s peak for the sunrise, as we could see the sunrise on our balcony. Breakfast was delicious and fresh!

Beautiful views overlooking waterfalls and Little Adam’s peak. A relatively easy walk into town via the train line. Accomodation was clean and very comfortable. Authentic Sri Lankan breakfast each morning was incredible.

Amazing place with the best view imaginable. You can see the waterfall directly from your room. The owners are amazing people who help us with everything. Everything is really new and the bathroom is especially nice. The breakfast is really nice plus you get the amazing view from the balcony. The location is up a hill away from the overcrowded main street, which we really enjoyed. You can get on the train tracks really quick too.

We reached there around 2.30 pm. They were waiting for us and welcome warmly. The two bed room apartment was nice, clean, comfortable and comes with everything we want. They prepared dinner for us, specially for my daughter without any additional cost. Breakfast was delicious with special foods for my daughter. If we visit Haputhale again, definitely stay at Ceylon Shadow. Highly recommend. Best value for money.
