We arrived late and we’re given a beautiful late dinner to eat, and then hit some excellent advice about how to access Petra through the Backdoor, which I highly recommend (and you have a moderate level of fitness). There are some nice spots to sit it - there’s a rooftop tent and a nice little table in the hallway from which to watch the sunset. I was happy to be away from the hubbub of Wadi Rum, and the drive in isn’t that far to go in if you want a city vibe and to access Petra site.

The apartment is at the quiet side of the town, so you'll need a car to get around. However, you can park your car right in front of the house. I'm so pleased that the parking spot is flat, as we have seen some hotels/hostels built on slopes - I wouldn't want to be parking at those places for sure. Petra is a 7 minute drive away from the apartment and Little Petra is about a 20 minute drive. The host family is very nice, they made sure we had a comfortable stay and even got us some lovely Jordanian desserts. The place is clean and lovely, with a beautiful view at the front.

This was our second time at Nonna Aisha. We regard Nonna Aisha as a very special place. The facilities are extraordinary, and the level of hospitality Yousif and his dear mother Aisha afford their guests is exceptional. The surroundings are safe, elegant and yet comfortable (which is to say that the place feels like the best second home), and ultra-relaxing. Again, this is a very unique and special place from which is base one's trip of the area and to return in order to retire from a long day of hiking, trekking, and exploring. Excellent showers, Wi-Fi, kitchen facilities, breakfast, outdoor lounging area filled with engaging conversation.

Ahmad and Badee were so helpful and amazing hosts. Room was clean with a beautiful view to the city and the mountains. Breakfast was something amazing as well. Best stay if you're visiting Petra.
