PortugalClearly the best stay we had in Iceland. This is a truly lovely house where you immediately feel part of a family. We were delighted by the warm reception and the cozy, homely atmosphere. The location by the lake is stunning, offering beautiful views. In summer there are many midges, which can be a bit annoying, but that’s the trade-off for such a scenic lakeside setting.
The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped—you’ll find everything you need, and even some thoughtful extras like coffee and pasta left for guests. It really felt like staying at our grandparents’ home, full of comfort and warmth.
A very strong recommendation, especially if you are traveling as a family. We absolutely loved it.
