This is a wonderful place to say! I highly recommend it! Stay around for dinner too. It was quite nice with the chef using local delicacies. You’ll be living in a real castle. There is a Castle museum, as well as rowboats in the surrounding wetlands and very beautiful natural surrounding with swans and ducks and great nature! The rooms are quite comfortable!!

Lovely location, remote and peaceful, even though the site itself was apparently quite busy when we stayed. The cottage was comfortable, practical, spacious and homely, very clean. The hosts were warm and accommodating. It was extremely pleasant to stroll around the the nearby village in the gloaming, admiring all the regional and period country cottages. For any history fans there's a very pleasant surprise on the doorstep.

Patrick is a great host and we got such a warm welcome not only by him and his wife, but also by the cute chicken and the house cats Captain and Bob. The rooms are great, tastefully furnished and very spacious. It is a quiet location and the garden is really breathtaking. We loved to stay here and it is a pity that we couldn‘t stay longer. The front desk staff were great, friendly and helpful, made me feel welcome - not just expected! It's an older building - which is charming - connected to a restaurant - also charming and serving delicious food - especially the breakfast! It has a few quirks.... but it added to the overall experience.
