This was a 1 night stay in November, so it was off-season. The surrounding was super quiet, however there were enough restaurants to have dinner. Our room was adequate for 2 adults and a dog - there was a pack of treats and a dog bowl waiting in our room, what we loved. Spacious bathroom with bathtube as well as spacious balcony overlooking pool area. A huge boardwalk by the sea.

I really liked the location, it was right close to the sea. Everything was calm, the bed was confortable and the place had all the necessities. The place was also clean.

Facing the beachfront, Hotel Cala Arena offers 1-star accommodation in San José and features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and shared lounge.

The hotel is beautifully designed with gorgeous rooms, most with balconies and sea views, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast is in the cafe on the ground floor which is very popular with locals and has a great outdoor terrace. Maria who runs Cala Arena, her father, Priscilla in the cafe and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and friendly, you really won't want to leave. And San Jose is a lovely little town with great restaurants - our favourite was La Palmera Mercado, very close to the hotel. And don't forget the stunning beaches - Playa de los Genoveses just south is like Spanish playa's must have been in the 1950's. Also fantastic gym in the basement.

Set in San José, less than 1 km from San Jose Beach, Villa Singular offers beachfront accommodation and various facilities, such as pool with a view.

Carolina was an excellent host and really helped us out when our transport plans didn't work. The roof terrace is fantastic with great views and options for sun or shade. It's in a quiet area close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Air conditioning in all the rooms was essential.
