Beautiful hotel, designed with a quiet elegance. Lovely, friendly staff who willingly take the extra steps to ensure that guests feel both welcomed and comfortable, and that your stay in Bonifacio goes well. My room was spacious and very comfortable. Loved seeing the sea and cliffs. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. The location on the terrace is superb. Everything about this hotel is done with great care and consideration. The location in the old town is awesome and does come with the physical challenges mentioned by others, so take note if you’re not physically able. However, for everyone else, I am in the higher end of 60s and managed the stairs without a problem. In fact, I found them fun and part of staying in the old town. Luggage isn’t a problem as they carry it for you.

This was our third stay. Everything that we wanted; quiet, calm although we decided to go close to the end of the season when I feel that the island must be very busy. Expensive but exclusive - apologies if that sounds snobbish - and I think that is also a huge draw for some. Main residents and visitors are Italian and French. The staff are amazing and I really want to highlight those who took particular care of us - Joe from Sardinia, Victor from Monpelier, Luca from Rome and the lovely lovely Barbera our wonderful house keeper. They made everything so much better - if that were possible. This place is our idea of paradise.

One must simply commend the marvellous Geraldine — a property manager of the highest calibre, both frightfully professional and charmingly attentive. Honestly, if there were a knighthood for hospitality, she'd be polishing her medal by now. It was our very first foray into the enchanting realm of Corsica — and by Jove, what a corker of an experience! The duplex apartment was the very picture of modern elegance equipped with everything a respectable family might require for a thoroughly civilised lounging-about holiday. The bedding? Positively cloud-like. One nearly wept with joy climbing into bed each night. Surrounding the property is a vast and verdant Mediterranean garden. And as for the beach — heavens, what a beach! Nestled just a stone’s throw away lies one of Corsica’s most bally marvellous stretches of sand. Pristine, peaceful, and positively begging for a dramatic stroll in slow motion. The hosts were amazing, and went out of their way to help , making phone calls for me to arrange transport to the airport.. and when that did not work ( my fault, it was a last-minute problem) , they took me themselves and saved me from missing my flight. All the other people and kids seemed to be having a wonderful time in a foam disco!!! Many, many thanks 💙🙏
