The Red Lion is located right on the harbour at Clovelly. Our room was perfectly positioned on the 2nd floor to capture the 180 degree view across the harbour, out to sea and further down the coast. Our room was very spacious, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, comfortable armchairs and coffee table in the bay window allowed us to sit comfortably with a cup of tea (not on the bed) and take in the views. The bay window had opening doors (great for enjoying fresh air!!) onto a large balcony, so we had the choice to sit in or outside. The bathroom was lovely with a very large shower, with a wall niche so that we had somewhere to put our toiletries, soap, etc. These little things really make the difference when you're staying away from home and we really appreciated their attention to detail and practicality. The food in the restaurant and bar was very enjoyable and breakfasts were cooked to our liking (loved the Eggs Benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs!!). Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We rated our stay 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Of course, the location was spectacular – the views and surroundings couldn’t have been more perfect. But what truly made this accomodation unforgettable was the overwhelming friendliness of the staff. Every single person we met went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their warmth and genuine care created such a special atmosphere that we honestly felt at home from the very first moment. We left with not only great memories but also the feeling that we’ll definitely return. Highly recommended!

Very friendly staff. Very dog friendly also. Little balcony to enjoy the beautiful view. Lovely breakfast and delicious restaurant meals in the evening.

Excellent location overlooking the beach and a 2-3 min walk to the sea pool. Lovely staff, fabulous breakfast and very clean & tastefully decorated room. Will be back! (Only thing I didn't love was the poor water pressure in the shower but not worth bringing the review score down!!)

Beautiful little home from home. comfy beds great veranda with lots of seating and wonderful views not too far from the town and walks lovely but busy bar restaurant 2 mins walk away. Friendly staff.

The holiday park was fantastic! We booked two bungalows, both with a view on the sea. Reception was flexible, as we could check in and out easily. And the beach was walking distance.
