Naveen was very friendly and his hospitality was good.

The Kovalam Beach House is a little bit of the main beach stretch. In walking distance there is a small very scenic beach where not many people went. It's just down some stairs. Also there were a few restaurants around and we loved the lobster pot. Soya does a great job in his restaurant. In Kovalam Beachhouse Rahul took good care of us and the property and was always friendly and helpful. We absolutely recommend the place!

Rooms are clean and cosy and nearby the beach.

The host Nisha is absolutely great. She picked us up from the airport, that's a stone's throw away from her beautiful sea side abode. She graciously upgraded us to the first floor room with a sea view (i should say sea feel as the property is just a few feet away from the waves !!). The breakfast was outstanding. Must stay at Nutshell if you are in Trivandrum even for a few hours!!!

On booking i just booked one night and i ended up staying a week! I arranged airport pickup directly with the hosts Bijoy and Aleena and everything went without a hitch. Upon arrival at the hotel around 20:30 Hours, the host arranged hot food even though dinner service had finished. ( you should ask the meals in advance as everything is homecooked from the scratch with mostly the organic and they cook from the scratch you cant find their traditional recipes in any of the restaurants, they cook so fresh and delicious) The room that i booked was basic but comfortable with AC, fan, tea and coffee making facilities and an ensuite WC and wet room. Food (I had breakfast and dinner) had a home cooked feel, vegetarian, very tasty and cold beer was also available. The hotel is less than 100 meters from the seafront and a wonderful spot in which to relax and escape the hustle and bustle outside. I visited a large modern shopping mall located approximately 10 minutes drive from the hotel and the hosts happily arranged transportation, return trip including two hours waiting time cost me approximately EURO 7. The hosts were simply charming and could not do enough to make my stay a memorable experience for all the right reasons. At this point and not to be taken as any criticism whatsoever, I would like to highlight that if you are looking for a hotel with all mod cons, restaurants, pools and other facilities, etc., then this is not the hotel for you but if you are looking for a little oasis of tranquility, and get to know the local culture, cuisines and the how to explore the city and have amazing local experiences, and trails that they organise are going to the best experiences of your trip. Which these couple can customise according to your interests. And the cooking class i couldn't do in private as they were pre-booked by Norwegian couple for 3 days well in advance. i am confident you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Clean place, breathable, many activities possible and great suggestions from the manager. We never felt like paying too much, we had such a great time that we extended our stay, because we felt very secured. The location is PERFECT, just a few minutes walk from Varkala beach, and it's quiet and cosy (love the hammock!).
