Really nice room located next to the beaches. Very good breakfast in quantity! And the staff are really nice and helpful. They took us for a boat trip to see the mangroves and to see what there is to see around. And show us the gems from Sri Lanka. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at a hotel Ocean Breeze Cottage during my vacation, and I had a wonderful experience! The room was nice,Clean and included a balcony with a stunning sea view, which made my mornings extra special. The hotel’s location was also a big plus since it was close to town, making it easy to explore. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options, and I appreciated the friendly staff who made me feel welcome throughout my stay. - Nice room with AC - Hot water (not so common in Sri Lanka) - Located next to the sea, two beautiful beaches close by (sunbeds provided) - One beach is a turtle nesting side - we were lucky and saw a turtle coming to the shore in the evening - Village is quiet with not many tourists - Property has a restaurant, they prepared us dinner on the beach for no additional price - Nice breakfast - Turtle sanctuary near by (we recommend Galbokka Sea Turtle Conservation where you can pet baby turtles) - Extremely lovely manager with a good sense of humour who did everything to make us feel welcome. Would definitely come back.

Place is pretty amazing, just 2 minutes to the beach & to any restaurant. Staff is very helpful with all the information I wanted. His knowledge of the area is an added value to the property. In room coffee is provided, I was able to cook my fresh food in the house kitchen.

We loved the Villa 826 Ahungalla. The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. Had a amazing bathroom with hot water and great shower. Great location, few minutes from the beach. It is very long and so beautiful. Owner was very kindly, friendly and helpful with everything. Breakfast also very delicious and had a very tasty sri lankan items and homemade by family. Highly recommended!

A beautiful villa right by the beach — a perfect place to relax and immerse yourself in the soothing sound of the waves. The rooms are huge, elegantly furnished, and each has an additional space that serves as a living room. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace with a spectacular view of the ocean. However, the absolute highlight of our stay was the fantastic food. Every single dish we ordered was delicious — hands down the best food we had during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. We spent every day at the beach, where in the afternoons we could watch traditional fishing methods, and some of the fresh catch even ended up on our plates later! We also took a tour organized through the villa. We highly recommend the river safari, which includes a must-visit stop at Cinnamon Island and a local temple.

We have not stayed before but We found out that this hotel changed ownership in December 2024. So ignore any previous reviews. It is clearly run by professionals now and they have done extensive refurbishment. It is truly beautiful and spotlessly clean. It had a Superb beach location, lovely swimming pool. Double aspect infinity pool. Attentive staff. Hotel located on a little peninsula with lots of pretty areas to sit. Sunsets superb. Can walk along beaches to other hotels in Ahungalle otherwise you really need a tuk tuk which the staff will always get for you. ( and are cheap) we visited a huge reclining Buddha Temple whilst staying here. A must do ! Internet OK. Fridge in room. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Good supply tea and coffee and 2 waters daily. It was a lovely stay.
