Location is perfect. The only hotel in the beach, there is no one a couple of kilometers each side. For comparison, if you go to Unawatuna you will see the difference, the very negative one. Service. The staff is very nice. Restaurant food is gorgeous. Have compared it with the best restaurants in Galle. Beach and view from the balcony are very nice.

Our stay at Riff Hikkaduwa was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by warm hospitality and impeccable service. The hotel’s location is perfect—right on a beautiful beach with stunning ocean views. The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, ensuring maximum comfort. The food at the restaurant was simply amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The live music in the evenings created a wonderful atmosphere, making every dinner a special experience. A highlight of our stay was the unique opportunity to release newborn turtles into the ocean—a truly magical and memorable moment. Everything! When you walk through that front door you are walking into a zen haven- absolutely divine. Every member of staff were extremely helpful for anything you need. They are there but not intrusive. The meals we ate onsite were delicious with enough choices for us. The pool is perfect, the rooms are large, the decor is gorgeous, and the price was perfect. We had friends staying in a large hotel further north, with buffet, multiple pools, and crowds - Villa saffron is a place to relax. We will definitely return.

The staff welcomed me with a welcome drink. The room was clean and fragrant. The staff was very helpful and caring. The location is excellent. I did 1,000 km on a motorbike in Sri Lanka and this place was perfect for relaxation and chill. Sun loungers on the beach are available at no extra charge.

This is a fabulous family run hotel with great staff giving a superb friendly service. The rooms were well equipped and very clean. The hotel is located right on the beautiful beach in a quieter part but very close to all the bars and restaurants. Within 200 meters of the hotel we found turtles who came right into the shore to feed - amazing!. The breakfast and meals at the hotel were excellent and well priced. We would stay again and highly recommend.
