This hotel is an absolute gem in Sri Lanka. We've visited several places, and this is our favorite. It's beautifully located, allowing you to walk for miles along the beach without encountering anyone. The beach is pristine, free of litter, unlike some other places in Sri Lanka. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The service is excellent, and the restaurant offers a delicious and diverse menu. There are plenty of excursion options nearby, with stunning wetlands and lagoons perfect for bird watching. This wonderful place has been crafted with great care. Interestingly, it is also very affordable compared to other hotels. It's definitely worth traveling a bit further to enjoy this exceptional and beautiful spot. An absolute must-visit. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Marvellous staff - very helpful, good prices, exceptional location with a nearly private beach which is enormous and empty. Nice place to swim with the waves. A fabulous place to sit back and relax. Very good dinners with Sri Lanka’s food. And very clean room.

Very friendly owners couple. Owner capable of arranging turtle watching trips, tuktuk rides, etc. Able to provide truly excellent dinner with fresh seafood caught by himself earlier that day (unlike many other places claiming the same). Accommodation has a brilliant location, just a few minutes walk from bus station. Perhaps a bit spartan, but does the job, ideal for those traveling on shoestring. Excellent value!

The place and the rooms are beautiful. The decoration perfectly fits the local atmosphere. The Mawella beach is a truly hidden gem, my favorite around Tangalle. The staff is doing a very good job (rooms are perfectly clean) and the food is delicious. The service remains 5-star even when some employees were in holidays (due to the local New Year). Special thanks to Zander who is always present and has built a wonderful place, respecting the local environment.

Shine Wave Turtle Beach has a garden, a private beach area and a sun terrace with swimming pool and Full English/Irish breakfast in Tangalle.

Nice, clean, comfortable, quit and spacious. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Close to the beach where we saw the giant turtles. We visited several locations in Sri Lanka for the same price but less comfortable. ++ No dogs inside the gate!

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was large with a beautiful view. The staff is very nice and they really try to fulfill all wishes. We used a laundry service that they didn't want to charge us for. Thank you for that. We recommend this place.

beautiful hotel with lagoon view rooms.very clam and comfortable .every time birds are surround the hotel.can peacocks hand feeding.you can kayaking in lagoon free of charge.3 minute walking distance to beautiful rekawa beach.can watching huge turtles at night.we come back again.

Everything was great, super chill, rooms are simple and modern! Very relaxing and tranquil spot! Make sure to stay here!! Food was simple and good( huge portions!) juices were amazing! The territory of the property is well maintained and the coconut trees are simply gorgeous! Doggies, the cool cat and the pool is a huge bonus! Also thank you for helping me and my sister when she got a mild sun stroke! The ice pack and your assistance was super helpful!! I would come back to this place in a heartbeat!
