Beach Hotels in Mathiveri

We liked the location and the friendly staff who worked really hard to make our holiday very special The food was fabulous, excursions from the hotel and the watersports equipment and kayaks were great . Everything was perfect for us and thanks to Faisal and his team for making our time at Veli Beach so memorable.

This guesthouse meets every need a guest could wish for, making it the perfect place to relax. The sandy beaches as well as the center of Mathiveri (market, fantastic bakery etc.) are just a short walk from Velana Vibes. The place is new, clean and well cared for. The design is thoughtful - functional, but also ensuring privacy for guests. But what makes Velana Vibes truly special... are the people. Munzir, the owner, is the soul of the place and Imma, the manager, is its heart. We have never met such a sincere and genuinely warm team. That includes the friendly owner, the incredibly dedicated manager and the always-helpful kitchen staff. They all put their whole hearts into making our stay special and unforgettable - and they succeeded! They were always there if we had questions. They organized everything - whether it was a golf cart tour of the island, snorkeling, fishing, fish barbecues or filming us on jet ski with a drone - and made our holidays even more enjoyable. Personally, I would like to give special thanks to Imma for the private snorkeling lesson :-) I can’t swim, but he offered to help me so that I also could see the underwater world - and he kept his promise. Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, he took me and my family to a calm beach where we snorkeled together. I will never forget the experience of my very first snorkel, where I felt completely safe the whole time! At Velana Vibes, we enjoyed the comfort of a good hotel, but among the team, we felt at home - surrounded by people who genuinely wanted the best for us. Everyone made sure our stay in this wonderful place was unique and unforgettable. Although we usually don’t return to the same place twice, we truly hope to come back to Velana Vibes someday. Room was clean and cleaned every day, few steps from beautiful bikini beach. Stuff were so friendly and awailable in each time of the day, especially Suru, she helped us with everything. They organised private snorkeling excursion for us. Food was diverse and delicious. Definetly will return if I again wisit Maldives

If you are looking for small distance from the beach, this is the choice. Chill atmosphere, exactly 30 meters from bikini beach. Clean room, friendly staff.

From the start everything was super, communication with people before we traveled, they organised transfer for us, greeted us with nice refreshing drinks and gave us all useful information. We had room on the ground floor that looked at the bikini beach and sea. On the white sandy beach we had beach beds and table and chairs. Now about the sea (well ocean)…crystal clear water and part where you can swim and house reef where you can snorkel and see amazing colourful fish. Staff was amazing (I am terrible with names), but every single member of staff was friendly and polite, from our waiter, Sri Lankan chef, hotel manager…everyone. They organised trips for us. Out of many different trips we chose 3. We had Dolphin Safari where we saw 100’s of dolphins and took amazing photos and videos. Then we had snorkelling trip to see turtles and again we took some great pics and videos. Our guide even took my GoPro and filmed us swimming with turtles. Unforgettable experience! We also had Night Fishing trip, where we caught many fishes, like tuna, barracuda, red snapper etc. Then they prepared most amazing beach dinner with our catch. In the restaurant you have a choice between continental breakfast and local one (many times we had both of them). Also you can eat pancakes with various toppings and there was always cold juice and water. For dinner you have different choices, like various soups to start with, then various curries, rice and noodle dishes, fish, various ways of chicken, pizzas, burgers…and desert at the end. We were very happy with food. I can highly recommend Belmars Beach and will definitely come back at some point, as we had a brilliant time there.

This is a charming lodge near the centre of the small island, within a short walk to amenities. The lodge is very peaceful and quiet, and is set inside a private courtyard. Rooms are large, comfortable, and well-appointed, with lots of natural light, great electrical and AC. Facility is simple but has strong design aspect that underlines the experience of being here. Breakfast is included with stay; snorkeling equipment also available. Service is excellent.

Surrounded by a lively and beautiful reef, offering great service, food, spa and unforgettable excursion trips(manta, turtle and whale shark snorkelling, etc )Nika was the best choice we could make in Maldives. Hard to find another resort that provides fresh smelling towels at all times :) We’ve extended our stay for 4 more days and experienced both beach villa and water villa.. Both were breathtaking. We returned to Gangehi Island Resort after spending our honeymoon here ten years ago — and honestly, it felt like coming home. Very little has changed, which we mean as a huge compliment. The same peaceful atmosphere, the same warm smiles, the same effortless kindness from everyone on the island. The resort still keeps its original Maldivian charm — natural, simple, and beautifully laid-back. The tropical vegetation is lush, and the sea is that unreal shade of blue with amazing coral just off the beach. We spotted reef sharks, rays, and even sea turtles while snorkeling. The weather was a bit mixed during our stay, but that’s part of island life — and the staff made up for it in every way. Giorgio, the General Manager, surprised us with a complimentary upgrade from half board to full board — such a generous touch, thank you! The restaurant buffet is uncomplicated but always delicious, mostly fish-based, freshly prepared and served with genuine warmth. The dessert corner deserves a special mention — fresh tropical fruits and homemade ice cream every day. The spa offers excellent massages, and our excursion (even with rough sea) was great fun with beautiful snorkeling spots. The romantic dinner at sunset, with our own waiter and chef, was truly unforgettable — especially the aperitivo at the overwater restaurant. In short, Gangehi remains an authentic Maldivian gem — friendly, relaxed, and made for pure relaxation. We loved every minute and will surely be back again.
