Breakfast was exceptional. Very generous portions and healthy variety. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always working so hard. The location was so serene and peaceful. I loved the activities provided - the yoga, sound therapy, and painting were so enjoyable.

Our stay at Hotel Boutique Kokoro Mio was simply breathtaking! From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by this incredible place. The room surrounded by nature, was beyond anything we imagined. When we booked, we didn’t have all the pictures, so we were absolutely blown away upon arrival. Everything was perfect: the breakfast, the restaurant, and the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel’s beach club is truly exceptional, making the experience even more unforgettable. We highly recommend this hidden gem and can’t wait to return!

It was so close to the water, you could go for a swim any time in shallow, clear water. There is only 10 rooms, so it’s never crowded. The staff were amazing - so friendly, helpful and kind. Jess the manager was so attentive and spoke great English, and the receptionists were very helpful. The restaurant food is absolutely delicious, the chef is very talented.

Beautiful property right on the lake with tasteful design and two pool areas. You can jump from the pier into the lake and have dinner on the waterfront. We loved our Lakeview room and had breakfast on the terrace each morning. The food was incredible and our highlight! Each meal was a theatrical experience and the staff go above and beyond. We loved that the steak is cooked right in front of you on a hot salt slab.

This is by far one of my favorite places i've stayed in. The staff was friendly and while checking in, we were able to book the sail boat tour (which is what my friend and I wanted to do). Parking was available on both sides of the street and had no trouble looking for parking. I would recommend staying here!

Everything about Villa Marilu is perfect - it's located right on the lagoon so you always have a stunning view when you walk out of your room. It's only a 5 min drive from town so easy to access all the great restaurants in Bacalar. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have everything you need. And finally, the host Eduardo is incredible - he's so warm and welcoming and goes out of his way to make sure you everything you need. Breakfast was amazing and it was awesome to have the kayaks to use whenever we wanted. It's so nice that they have only 4 rooms so you don't feel like just a number, you get a real personal experience. Definitely stay here you won't regret it. P.S. I recommend getting up early to catch the sunrise.
