A lovely, cozy, and well-equipped two-story house, perfect for a comfortable stay. The upstairs features very comfortable beds, two showers, and two toilets. From the upper floor, you can enjoy an amazing sea view that’s truly unforgettable. The house has a small patio on the ground floor and a spacious balcony upstairs, complete with chairs—ideal for relaxing, enjoying the sea view, or sunbathing. If you love sunshine and ocean vistas, this is the perfect choice for you. There are no issues with hot water, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. The ground floor boasts a large dining room, making it great for meals and gatherings. Several small stores and a good restaurant are conveniently nearby, and a large shopping mall is just a 5-minute drive away. Parking in the backyard is easy and hassle-free. Staying here was a wonderful experience, and I would love to return someday!

I liked the outdoor area, where we were eating breakfast all together. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. It is close to the center of Ponta Delgada.

Probably the best hotel on the island. The manager, Mr Alexandru Daralta, was very nice to us, giving us an update to the junior suite, which was spectacular. I would suggest to stay at this place, when coming to Sao Miguel, cause it's right in the city center and the hotel is super nice. We did not had the chance to try the breakfast, as we left early in the morning. This will be our base camp if we come back again on the island. :)

The hotel was great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Facilities were very good. Spa was very relaxing. Pool was cool.

Matriz 55 has it all and it doesn’t get much better than this… Only book this place if you’re looking for: - The perfect location of an Airbnb (it doesn’t get any more central… unless you want to sleep in the church) - The quality and attention to detail of a great hotel (nicest towels ever, room gets cleaned every day etc…) - The vibe of a hostel, where you could easily meet people. - But more than anything - The hospitality of a guest house, where the host will be truly dedicated to making yоu feel at home. Pedro and Susana might be the best hosts ever. Their hospitality and readiness to help is unmatched and they really made us feel like we’re visiting family.
