Really enjoyed our stay at Villa Fiona. Right on the beach. Nice Pool. Excellent host and the covered area on stilts over the beach was the perfect place to spend a few relaxing hours.

We stayed in a beach front villa which was 5 metres from the sea, be warned the tide goes out around 500 metres, but great for walking on the sand bars. Spent every morning watching the monkeys. Staff were exceptional.

We loved absolutely everything! The staff were so-so kind and helpful, food tasted amazing and there was always so many different types of it. Air conditioning was better than any else hotel we have visited in Africa or Asia and rooms were clean, big and nice. We also loved the pool area where you can get literally everything you want- deeper and lower water, sunshine and not if you've had enough of it already. And best coctails in pool bar!! We had already booked another hotel too before our trip to Zanzibar (a bit more expensive one actually) and we regretted this decision every day and wished we had spent our whole trip in Zanzibar in TOA's hotel.

We have spent a fabulous week at Michamvi Sunset Bay and wished we could have stay longer. The resort was lovely -recently renovated, stunningly beautiful and just a perfect size to have enough space for all guests, while at the same time not feeling isolated. The rooms, restaurant, pool, all communal spaces and even the beach were all spotlessly clean. The beach bar is wonderful - the view is amazing and the drinks are great. Rooms are very spacious and are cleaned daily; all have private terraces or balconies - we have stayed in the ground floor which was very handy with 2 kids. We have opted for full board and have not regretted it for a moment, as the food was very tasty. Dinner is served in a different location every night. What really makes this place though is the staff- everyone was simply amazing, from the management through the reception, restaurant and bar staff, housekeeping, gardeners ... The whole team pampers the guests and makes them feel at home. Shirley cares about every detail and was always available to help with anything guests could need. Thank you for everything!
