I stayed at the hotel in a standard room in 2022. I liked it Now I have experienced Fairmont Gold experience Great. The hotel itself has a good location, close to bat bridge (where I didn't see bats...) and 6th street. Great gym, good wifi, friendly and helpful staff. At Gold, the room is better, on a high floor, with a skewer view. It has the exclusive lounge, which is excellent. Refined breakfast included in the lounge, with a wide variety of fruits, quality yoghurt, omelette made to your choice, bread and a healthier option with a variety of baked potatoes, delicious chestnut muesli, smoked salmon. Cakes in the afternoon and mushroom canapés in the evening, cold cuts, a wide variety of good cheeses, guacamole, hummus, etc. Wide range of soft drinks. Great service. Wonderful hotel.

This hotel is everting you would expect and more from the Design Hotel Group. It's ineriors are exquisitely decorated with every attention given to detail. To compliment the interiors were the exceptional service of the staff. They where attentive, friendly and always helpful. Even our kids agreed that this was the best hotel they have ever been to. The facilities where excellent and we may just have had the best Margaritas we've ever tasted at the pool bar! In the evenings the lobby lounge turned into a vibrant hang out for guest and locals, which we loved. Even though we did not join in every night, it was wonderful to come back after a day of shopping or sightseeing to experience a lively atmosphere that was welcoming. Will we go back? Most definitely! It is after all, a proper hotel.

This hotel is rather lovely - split between a formal business hotel and the Tommie, an informal take on premium luxury. Great reception, excellent bar and pool area and more than enough staff to ensure you are cared for at all times. Location is just below 6th Street so you are just far enough from the noise and just close enough to the bars, live music, tacos and street parties. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short or longer stay (1 week) in Austin as it is so central and does offer access to the best parts of the city. Great bar(s), good food, great pool, karaoke night (!) and eclectic staff and customers.
