I recently stayed at Funny Monkeys Homestay in Phong Nha for two days with a friend, and I couldn’t have had a better experience. The homestay is beautiful, well-maintained, and exceptionally clean. The rooms were comfortable, and the setting by the river offered a stunning view—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The food was also excellent. I especially loved that we could order breakfast the evening before for a specific time the next morning. The highlight of our stay was definitely the incredible staff, especially the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. When my friend fell ill, the owner personally took me on her scooter to the local pharmacy and even helped translate so I could get the right medication. On another occasion, while we were out hiking, she went to a currency exchange on our behalf to change money for us. These thoughtful gestures and her genuine concern truly made us feel at home. I wholeheartedly recommend Funny Monkeys Homestay to anyone visiting Phong Nha. If you want a serene location by the river, great food, and the friendliest, most accommodating hosts, look no further!

One of the best homestays I have ever stayed in during my trip to Vietnam. The room has a very nice view, with large glass windows overlooking the river and mountains, the room is fully equipped for you, the bathroom is modernly designed The breakfast is delicious and full, they provide a great family dinner with many dishes The host Levi is very enthusiastic, helping us and introducing tourist attractions in Phong Nha.

This place is a rustic paradise that provides all you need to have a fabulous and relaxing time. Phuong, the owner and host, is incredibly generous with his time and very accommodating to requests and needs. I can not praise him enough. Their onsite kitchen was also very accommodating to our vegan meal requests. The room is well set up with a full glass wall/door looking out to river and mountain views. Recommend booking one of their scooters to get around as it's a bit far to walk to any of the local attractions.
