The location, on the seafront, is exceptional and so the views from my dormitory room and from the common room were spectacular. I went to sleep to the sound of waves crashing against the sea wall. The kitchen was well equipped and the sanitary facilities were spotless.

The Don Paco lies beside the old town walls and seafront promenade of Llanes, in the Asturias region of Green Spain. The baroque style of the carefully preserved hotel building contrasts with the modern facilities it offers. Very rarely does a place exceed expectations but Don Paco does. Not only is the hotel staffed by kind, open hearted welcoming people, it exceeds in every aspect from cleanliness, food, service and a warm welcoming atmosphere. It is clear that the staff care about their guests and it is also located in one of the most beautiful areas that I have been too with the hotel a few steps away from a beautiful town that has kept its heritage, a short walk brings you to a family friendly beautiful beach and the town is surrounded by some of the most jaw dropping views of the sea and mountains. There is an expression in English to state how wonderful a place is and it is referred to as "God's Country" and I think the Asturias region deserves the title.
