Would 100% recommend. The hotel is an NGO and 100% of the profits go back into training young people from rural communities how the tourism industry works. They have a restaurant which is #1 on trip advisor in Kratie which overlooks the Mekong and you can watch the sunset. The staff are super friendly and helpful, however are learning so be patient. The room we stayed in was huge with a small en-suite which was very clean. Fantastic value for money and for an awesome cause.

From our arrival to our departure the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay. The room was large, comfortable and clean. We got a discount on food and drinks at the bar, and everything was added to our room to be paid at checkout which was very convenient. The food and cocktails were great, and the bar is the perfect place to watch the sunset! We also arranged a kayaking tour to see the dolphins directly with the guesthouse. Ben was a fantastic guide and this was certainly a highlight of Kratie.

Just the most lovely staff here who really made our stay. Loved the upstairs restaurant/ hang out area overlooking the Mekong. Nice atmosphere especially at sunset. Decent food and good coffee - the Vegetable curry was really good Room was stylish, fantastic air con and comfortable bed. We liked it so much we booked an extra night.

The location is great near the river and the ferry to the nearby river island. Also cafe/bar at the top with amazing river and sunset views. The rooms are also pretty good and spacious with modern bathrooms. Some also have a river view, but ours only from the side. Made it a bit more quiet, but also gave us just a slice of the river. The staff was friendly and helped us with everything including bookings and getting tuk tuks. All in all a great stay and would come again.

Sorya is an amazing place. The staff are very attentive and super friendly and you really feel welcome. My room was beautiful with a fantastic view of the river (the windows were floor-to-ceiling :-) and very clean. The food is really great (the Fish amok is the best I have ever had) The restaurant is very social and a great place to hang out and enjoy the breeze and the sunset. I did the dolphin tour with them and everything was perfect. Is was really a magical day and I really recommend taking the tour with Sorya

Nice welcoming hostel. Beds and pillows are comfy and clean. Even though the temperature is high in the city the hostel has plenty of ventilation so there's a nice breeze keeping it cool. Meals are good too and location is perfect to watch the sunset go down by the river.

It’s quite a basic accommodation so don’t expect too much comfort. The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace to Mekong river is beautiful, especially to watch the sunset!

Great location which is close to the town and the river . Perfect location to watch the sunset at the Mekong River. Staff are excellent . Services are superb. Kayaking trip was fantastic with very knowledgeable guide.

I had a two-weeks extremely pleasant stay at Sorya guest house. Its perfect location, with spectacular views on the Mekong sunsets, its clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, the excellent food -mostly western but also with one khmer dish proposed every day-, and not the least, its efficient and super friendly staff make the Sorya Guest House a great place to stay in Kratie.
