This cottage is a real gem only 10 minutes by car from Kuldiga. We had a wonderful time here and enjoyed bbq, sauna, swimming in and rowing on the lake, which is almost private (there're usually just some people fishing there during the day). Our 2-year old son loved the playground equipment outside. It was also great to just sit and relax on the terrace or to have a little walk around the lake and through the forest next to the cottage. The house was thoroughly clean and generally well equipped. Just the kitchen might be a bit small, when you stay here with a lot of people. The owners were really nice and easy accessible. I can only strongly recommend staying here!

Three of us large pikes and the forth super huge perch. Host Meinards also showed us around the neighboring properties by driving us and giving the tour himself. In Pilskalni you will also have a chance to see a lot of historic elements from the Soviet times.
