Staff was super friendly and helpful. Welcoming drinks at the arrival, sparkling wine at the room. Spacious room with huge bed and even bigger pillows. Free access to the natural pools. As pools were too cold for us, we enjoyed the jacuzzi zone on the hotel roof. Breakfast was nice, with many fruit options and a nice view. Good value for money.

Το Three House Hotel διαθέτει εξωτερική πισίνα, αίθουσα γυμναστικής, κήπο και βεράντα, στον προορισμό Φουνσάλ. We travel a lot, around the world, and this was by far the best hotel we ever stayed in. The most hotels are all the same no matter where you are. But this hotel stand out in every way, not sure we can mention all. It seems like that the management asked themselves : what do guests really want - and they found every little detail. Beside that all the basics are outstanding, this hotel exceeded in so many ways. The staff is exceptionally helpful, friendly and knows the answers to all questions or requests, no matter what. Both Marcio and Sidónio were excellent, always there for us. The small details everywhere around, the possibility to wash cloth, the provided purified water, we could continue endlessly. The interior of the whole hotel is stylish and the apartment too. The rooftop is a dream, the pool is warm in winter and we swam 1000 m nearly everyday. We stayed for 3 weeks in December, and when not hiking the mountains, we spend the days in the hotel, on the rooftop just enjoying life. The sustainability level of the hotel is high, and there is no plastic at all. The jazz concerts in Wednesday were a spoil! We ate at the restaurant at least ones per day, delicious every single time. Since we do not rent a car but use public buses (try it!), the location is perfect, just 5 minutes from the bus station, and you get easily around. The vibe and atmosphere is so smooth and relaxed. For us it really was a home, and we booked already our 4 weeks stay next winter.

Το TURIM Santa Maria Hotel είναι στη Φουνσάλ, σε απόσταση 800μ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Παραλία Praia do Almirante Reis και διαθέτει καταλύματα με εξωτερική πισίνα, ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης,... Breakfast was excellent. The location was superb - considering three methods of transportation: by car, by bus and walking. Everything worked fine and the staff was willing to help you with all your questions. There is only few parking spots (15€/day) available at the hotel (located in the neighboring lot) but the staff gave an excellent advice to park your rented vehicle in the public car park (5€/day) just 3 blocks away. The rooftop pool and bar were a nice addition to a top quality experience.

Everything was just perfect. And the cherry in the pie - breakfast in the room and pillow option 🙂

Το São Francisco Accommodation είναι ένα ανακαινισμένο κτήριο με 6 ορόφους και ανελκυστήρα και προσφέρει δωρεάν Wi-Fi. It's a small hotel in the historic center walking distance to a lot of the places you would like to see in Funchal. The room and facilities are simple, modern, comfortable, and clean, The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast (included in the room price) is basic but sufficient for my needs, with a variety of breads, cereal, cold cuts cheese, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea etc. The AC in the room worked well. I would happily stay here again if I returned to Funchal.

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. Super location, high on a cliff overlooking the town and ocean. An easy walk through the town and to the waterfront. The meals were excellent. For breakfast you can have the buffet or order cooked items from a menu, or both. The dinner menu is outstanding with a wide range of options for fish, meat, and vegetarian, and everything we had was delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Our room had a small balcony with a view overlooking the ocean. The bed was comfortable, and the firm pillows we requested were perfect.

Recently awarded as Europe's Leading Design Hotel, the luxurious Vine Hotel is located in Funchal and offers a fusion restaurant with stunning views, a Wine Therapy Spa, and a rooftop infinity pool. I liked how central it is to go to the main city and departures to all the attractions. And the staff, the staff was superb. A special thanks to Jorge that breaths professionalism and kindness, what a star!

Really tastefully decorated room, nice and spacious, bathroom too, thoroughly cleaned every day. Very friendly welcoming staff. Beautiful rooftop pool area, relatively small but somehow not crowded, perfect for relaxing. Overall, a very pleasant seaside hotel.
