Was modern, clean and spacious well maintained guest house Thomas was a great host, kind and patient to help us We even had washing machine and drier to use for free(first time i encounter such a gesture) Breakfast was good … Thomas went all the way to drop us at the train station montreux which we didnt expect when we requested him to just book a taxi. I spent two nights at Barbara and Gilles' lovely home in Les Evouettes, to participate in one of the Swisspeaks races based in Le Bouveret (just a v. quick train ride / bike ride / drive away). I had the ground floor room with private bathroom, which was spacious, spotless and equipped with everything I needed. Breakfast was wonderful and Gilles and Barbara were perfect hosts, they truly went above and beyond in making me feel welcome, accommodating my request for a slightly earlier check-in, giving me plenty of local advice, lending me one of their bikes, providing an early breakfast on the morning of the race, and even giving me a ride to the start line! The house is situated in a very quiet street near the train station (less than 10 minutes on foot) and as a solo female traveller I can say that it feels extremely safe even late at night. I would - will - certainly return!
