This is a great place to stay! I only spent approximately 13 hours in total at the hostal (during my two night stay) and truly wish I had more time to actually enjoy the place! The hostal is clean and cosy and the beds are really comfortable. There's soap and shampoo in the showers and you get a free towel and earplugs. I arrived very late the first night but the communication prior to my arrival was excellent, and I could get to my room very easily. The following day I had an early morning full day tour and didn't arrive back until midnight and the morning after I once again had to leave early, so I actually didn't see anyone from the staff. But again, the communication through text has been excellent. The room was a little bit on the small side, and people in my room didn't use the lockers (which in my opinion were a good size) for all of their stuff, which meant that I had to be careful not stepping on someone's things in the dark. :) I would definitely come back here!

First of all: Mauricio will be the kindest and most genuine person you will meet on your trip to Chile (Patagonia) or even in your life. He has such a light-hearted way of looking at life, his simplicity, genuineness and friendliness captivated us right away. We were the only guests at the time because it was already the end of the season, and we had the wonderful experience of having the entire cabin available, we felt at home. The kitchen was available, the fireplace was so cozy, the decoration with photos of Patagonia and indigenous people was magnificent, it was the only place where we felt that the decoration made sense. The cabin is in the city, but as soon as you enter the gate (very easy to find), you are immediately immersed in the middle of Nature. It is a true refuge, the view from the window is beautiful with all those trees and we slept super warm! The shower has the best water pressure we experienced during our trip and the water was super hot! Everything was super clean, we simply loved everything. Mauricio was always concerned about whether we were okay, if we were cold, if we needed anything. We loved chatting with him, he has a huge culture and knows very interesting topics to talk about. He woke up so early (4am...), made us breakfast and took us to the airport, all with great energy, always in a good mood!!! We would have liked to have stayed longer, to still be talking to Mauricio - we miss him already! Gracias Mauricio, te esperamos en Portugal ❤️
