Fantastic place, high standard (furniture, bed, shower etc) with amazing view, room and pool area. The hostess, Marie, took very well care of us, providing a welcome tray with drinks, fruits and pasteries), and an excellent breakfast (best we had in CR). This is such a chill place, the only thing we heard was the Ara parrots flying by. I give this place my highest recommendations.

The owner of this lovely place are just so good people with a big heart. The owner brought us with their car to the next ATM because there isn't a ATM close. The rooms are clean and new. WiFi is perfect. Shower has a lot of pressure. Own freezer in the room. Supermarket 1 min walk. Bus station 5 min walk. It's a small village. Tranquilo and save. We would stay there again. Visited because crocodile tour was close to the place.

It is much more beautiful than in the pictures. I had a cabin in the garden. Small but nice. Very central but on the side street therefore it is not noisy. 3 minutes walk to the gym, 24 h cafe and to the main street.

Rafael was really present, attentive and made sure I was comfortable throughout my 2-3 day stay! Even gave me a ride to Jaco to catch my bus. If you’re lucky you get the room to yourself! Amazing vibes in the house, will definitely come back!

It’s in a quiet fishing village by the beach and is a haven for birdwatchers with Red Macaws in the garden amongst a host of other birds evident by the visit of guides with parties of birdwatchers and has the local Carara National Park just down the Road. The staff produce good and substantial meals and are always ready with any help required. 5 star hotel in a 5 star resort it is not but if you enjoy Costa Rican birds and wildlife together with a trip to the Pacific cost then don’t bypass Tarcoles and The House of Macaws

It was amazing! The personnel was friendly and generous, the place was clean, had good wifi and good AC and the beach/restaurant/vibe was amazing. The waves were nice and big and the restaurant was really good. To cap it all out, the view from the hotel was mind blowing.
