The location is superb - in beautiful countryside, only 200m from Abbey Escaladieu and only maybe 1 km from the Chateau de Mauvezin - both wonderful places to visit. Plenty of parking - some shaded. The couple who run it, Cyndia & Stéphane were very attentive. There is a wide choice of food in the evening and my meal was very nice. Breakfast is traditional French - bread, jam, cake, orange juice, coffee - and perfectly adequate. While I was there, a hot air balloon started its ascent from the grounds and I understand that flights can be arranged through a third party.

A really interesting old townhouse that has been brought back to life with care, style and a touch of quirkiness and humour. We were fortunate to be able to stay in a larger room than we had originally booked and it was really wonderful. Large comfortable bed and great pillows (including rectangular ones which we prefer to the large square French ones). Fantastic bathroom with large shower enclosure. All done with beautiful taste - even down to the reproduction light switches but also up to date with USB sockets in the same style. Lots of interesting spaces around the house and garden where you can sit quietly and read a book. Breakfast was fresh and generous and served on beautiful old crockery with proper napkins - nothing was too much trouble. Our hosts were both welcoming and helpful - and we enjoyed their two friendly Dachshunds too. Fantastic location for exploring the Pyrenees within easy reach of the high mountain passes (Tourmalet, Aubisque, Aspin) and also Lourdes or through the Bielsa tunnel to lovely Ainsa in Spain. The icing on the cake for us was the secure parking garage around the corner - which was the perfect town centre solution for our soft top Morgan.

We have felt like being at home. Ambient was lovely. Hospitality of the owners and their willingness to help was above expectations. Food was great and we liked the origin of it being locally produced. Not only breakfast but also dinner can be expected if agreed so. Oh and yes, parking was free as well.

The room was perfect for my one night stopover in the Pyrénées, Sandra was the perfect hostess and made me very welcome, and provided secure off road parking for my motorbike. The location is in a great little town that has a fantastic bar and restaurant, who fed me even though yhey hsd stopped serving food ! All in all, a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.
