Outstanding food, some of the best meals we have had in Devon. The Venison was sublime and the steak was just the best steak ever, desserts were just wow! The actual Inn was the cosiest and full of history and mystery! Overall a superb place to eat and sleep, staff were very friendly and very hardworking, A really great place to stay. Angela was a very hospitalbe, welcoming and helpful host. She gave us great tips for places to visit and things to do. Her cooked breakfast was delicious, and there was additionally a great variation of cereals, yoghurts, and fruit. The room and bathroom were cosy and clean, and we instantly felt at home. Heathergate Cottage was easily reachable by car and is located in a calm, relaxing region close to the beautiful Dartmoor.

Everything was perfect, especially the hosts who were amazing—kind, incredibly sweet, and always so helpful. They welcomed us with a beautiful room, a homemade sweet treat, and an excellent breakfast served in a lovely space. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are beautiful and well-maintained, with everything spotlessly clean. Thank you Wendy and Peter, we will definitely come back to visit!

The location was perfect., quiet and hiking just in front of the door. The garden room was lovely, clean and we appreciated the tea, cookies, coffee and hot chocolate very much. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The garden is beautiful. Lots of space and enough chairs and tables to sit and relax. The food in the pub was really nice and the breakfast hamper perfect. We hope to be back soon.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed delicious meals in the pub restaurant which had a nice atmosphere. I also liked the decor of our room - very considered and homely.

Property was so close to the wedding location we were going to. Suzanne was absolutely lovely and could not do enough for us whilst we were there. The rooms had everything we needed for our stay and the breakfast was absolutely lovely.
